Hello! I’m Hannah, and I’m happy you’ve found your way here! At the time of writing this, I’m 24 and I live in Nashville, TN with my partner, David, and our four-year-old daughter. I’m an avid reader, an okay writer, a blogger (obviously), a freelance editor/proofreader, and I’m pretty sure my local library is sick of me calling and asking if they’re hiring. My dad taught me how to read when I was about four years old, and I’ve had my nose stuck in a book ever since!
Fun Fact: My username, Katarama, was one I originally picked out on Neopets back in, like, 2004.
When it comes to books, I love everything about them. I’m a pretty mixed bag when it comes to the genres I enjoy; I’ll read just about anything and I can usually always find at least one thing that I genuinely love about a book (most times, it’s many things). My most-read genres are fantasy, true crime, psychological thrillers, and YA fiction. I also love a good memoir or biography and chick-lit is a guilty pleasure of mine that I’ve only just recently dabbled back into.
I created this blog simply because I enjoy rambling on about books. Here I’ll be posting pretty much anything that has to do with them, including reviews, author interviews, recommendations and lists, and just about everything in between (and beyond) that has to do with reading.
Literacy is something that’s very important to me, and I fully believe that learning to read and write proficiently during childhood can set a person up for monumental success later in life. I am a proud donor/sponsor of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).
When I’m not reading, you can find me painting or embroidering in my studio (okay, it’s actually a walk-in closet, but a girl can dream, right?), binge-watching a new Netflix series, learning a new language, or simply scrolling through Bookstagram.
